New iPod Touch Received!!

Yesterday I got my new iPod Touch. The camera sticks out right away when you look at it, and it is a nice addition. After plugging it in and a long sync with iTunes (talking about 10-15 minutes) I finally powered up the screen. Apple was hyping up the screen calling it the retina display with no discernible pixels. The screen is very clear and a pleasure to look at. I downloaded an HD wallpaper app and the backgrounds I downloaded looked great, I can get used to this screen. The design is pretty much the same, except the lock button on the top has been moved to the right side of the device. It is also set farther back than on previous iPods due to the overall thinness of the device. The volume button got split into two buttons as well. On the back the camera is located in the left (same side as lock button). So far I am pleased with the device and am looking forward to using it some more.

New iPod Touch

Seeing as my old iPod Touch has a problem with the wifi, I think it's time to upgrade to the newest iPod touch. It looks sleeker than the previous models and ships with iOS 4.1, and the A4 processor. The added camera on the front and back are pretty cool but I don't see myself making too much use out of it. It's a nice added feature but unnecessary in my opinion. The biggest draw to me is the new screen, the retina display as Apple calls it. I have the HTC Incredible which has a very nice AMOLED screen so I'm excited to compare the two.

Feel free to leave your thoughts about the Apples newest iPod Touch!

Minnesota Twins Clinch the AL Central

With the Twins winning last night, coupled with the White Sox loss, the Twins have clinched the AL Central! It's been a very fun season to watch so far and it's been a wild ride. From before the season even starting with the news that Nathan would need Tommy John Surgery, to Mauers slow start, to Thomes record breaking blasts, to Delmons MVP caliber play, to Morneaus concussion, and much more have made this a wild year. Fun celebration in the clubhouse last night but the common theme was "it's back to work tomorrow". And rightfully so with a chance to bring home the AL Pennant and home field advantage in the playoffs.

Android vs. iOS

What do you guys think? I'm an android supporter and I own the HTC Incredible. I love the phone. Being on verizon, I never had the opportunity to get an iPhone even though I wanted one. However, after doing some research about android I couldn't be happier with my decision. The Incredible is awesome, but the iPhone is great too.

What do you guys think?

Here's a little video comparing the iPhone 4 and the Incredible.

Poll Discussion

Discuss the poll to the right regarding the World Series.

I want the Twins to win it, but we have serious issues playing the Yankees in the playoffs.

My vote is Twins.

The state of Minnesota professional sports

I'll start this off with the team that is doing the best. The Twins. The white sox just cant touch them this year. And on top of that, we have been battling injuries pretty much all year long. Morneau has missed alot of time now and probably wont even be coming back this year. Kubel was amazing last year and took a small step back this year and now he's hurt. We haven't even had the best year but we are challenging for the best record in the major leagues.

Wild

Can't wait for the Wild season to start. With most NHL training camps opening this past weekend the smell of hockey is in the air. The Wild made a couple moves in the offseason, but it's hard to judge just how it will affect us. I'm excited to see Cullen skating, but I'll hold off judgement on Nystrom and Staubitz until I see them in action. I think the Wild have a decent chance of making the playoffs, but it's never easy to beat these guys

Vikings

It's been hard to watch so far, I'll just leave it there
